Extending Title 42 Would Escalate Dangers, Exacerbate Disorder, and Magnify Discrimination

Al Otro Lado, Haitian Bridge Alliance and Human Rights First released a new report on Title 42 that documents the mounting harms to asylum seekers blocked in/expelled to Tijuana due to the policy. The report again calls on the administration not to extend the Title 42 policy, which would escalate dangers, exacerbate disorder, and magnify discrimination. Included in the report is an updated count of kidnappings, rapes, torture, and other violent attacks on people blocked or turned away from refuge in the United States under Title 42 during the Biden administration – that count has now surpassed 10,000.
